50th Wedding Annivrsary Cake

50th anniversary cake

The first work is hand made the roses which placed opposite sides, two corners top of the tier.
I used vanilla frosting and to cover each of the layer in this cake.
The two tier cakes are 14 inch and 10 inch, butter cake with vanilla butter cream.
This two tier wedding anniversary cake covered with white fondant, diamond designed. I have made  ivory color sugar pearls and place it each joint of the diamond. Finished with pearled.
I worked on the ivory sugar pearls around the base of the the tiers.

This fondant quilting design is cut in to the fondant.  Edible sugar pearls are attach with tiny dab edible gum, pressed in the  each  scorners.

The bottom tier is a 14 inch butter cake frosted with vanilla butter cream. I made 15 roses for this cake decorating. Always make a few extra roses just in case some break during decorating time.  These roes were ivory color and the outlines were brushed with a mixture of gold and gold dust.
These two tire stacked quilted cake finished in fondant covered icing with a roses and wrappers on the corners.
I made the swags on last. Roll out the fondant thinly in long strips.  Then cut into 4" wide and 6 " long strips. Fold them on one side in three times to make a swag.
Gently picked up the swag, spread some water, and place the top of the swag to front cake of the corner.
Then let it swoop down the swag. Finally attached the roses and gold leaves on top of the swags.
Place the 50 on top of the cake.
