Butter Icing
Decorate a cake with butter cream icing tasty and make any design we like.
This butter icing recipe is creamy and buttery and spread or pipes a beautiful flowers any designs decorating for the birthday or any occasion cakes.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (4 cups) confectioners sugar (icing sugar)
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1tbsp almond extract or vanilla extract
- 2 tbs Milk or Water
- salt as needed
Method
- In a large mixing bowl with stand mixture, using the whisk attachment, on a medium speed, add butter and shortening beat (about 3-4 minutes) until light and fluffy.
- Add milk or water and beat for 4 minutes or until butter mixture comes creamy.
- Beat at slow, add sugar one cup at a time, and mix well until all combined.
- Using a rubber spatula, scrape the mixture, and beat until creamy.
- Cover with cling wrap or keep it in an airtight container.
- You can be stored in a refrigerator for two weeks. When using next time re-whip you before using.
- If the icing is too stiff, gradually add every cup of icing 1 or 2 tsp of water or milk into it.
- If the icing is thin, add some icing sugar to make it stiff.
