I made this dates cake last Christmas 2014, and also made a light fruit cake. It is the best Christmas cake. This cake is a dates round cake covered with whipped cream frosting. On top of the cake gum paste red poinsettia flower made by hand. 
I made this poinsettia flower two weeks ahead in Christmas. Leafs are artificial.
This Christmas cake very delicious packed with dates and cashew nuts.
